Warning: Spoilers for the latest installment of this adventure follow below.
The Warrior Group Unveiled
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of heroes who will separate from the central cast to embark on their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group features Teor Pridesire (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that keeping everyone at the same party would be impossible.
Hence, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Fighters, Schemers, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.
At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer Wicander might seem unsuited, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are perfectly fit for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the team understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
A former ally of Thjazi—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, entering the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
Casimir then settled his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd close behind.
Character Drivers
Additionally, each character has a specific drive to leave the city the urban setting:
- The rogue, as the companion and best friend, wants retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and warns that it is a nasty location.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having defied his relatives’ demands to eliminate the target and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their reputation as key figures in the powerful family could enable the team access areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, Teor swore a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Pursued by Authorities
Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern the setting for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are known criminals.
- The warrior and The healer defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.
