I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two-time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly happening.
